FALL FASHION: Military Style

Although my LJ (leather jacket) holds a special place in my closet (and in my heart) I find myself lusting after a light weight military jacket. Perfect for those breezy mornings but light enough for those warm afternoons.
Mine will be embellished with big buttons and maybe some sequins. I will wear it with jeans and a floral scarf and  wedged booties or metallic shoes if I want to dress it up. I will wear on the weekends or to work, it doesn't matter. This trend is so versatile we will live happily ever after.

H&M Fashion Studio

I take shopping very seriously. I have a limited budget so I can't afford to buy "mistake" pieces.  At the beiginning of every season I take a look at what I have in my closet and what I need. Then I browse through magazines, come up with a little look-book and off I go.

I was putting together my look-book for this Fall season and I came across the Fashion Studio at the H&M website. Can I just tell you how much I love H&M? The make it so easy to shop! not to mention affordable.

These are my Work, Weekend and Party looks (respectively):

Try it out! I spent a ridiculous amount of time at this site! you will love it too!

{Eclectic Girlfriends}

I was out an about when I spotted these really cute girls.  They all had unique and different styles, even different mannerisms, but their chemistry was undeniable. I could tell they had been friends forever. It made me miss my childhood friends. Even though we have all grown up, we still  share that unbreakable bond that exists when you have seen someone transform into adulthood but you still can attest that they "haven't changed one bit."

I have decided to start this section in honour of all the stylish girls in the city. The ones that catch my eye while I'm walking down the street, the ones that amaze me daily with their creativity.  Whether their style is girly and clean, or punk ballerina, or retro chic, Toronto Girls are undeniably eclectic and inspiring.

{Soft Rock}

{ Girly Girl Flirt}

{Mismatch Master}

{Lovely in pink}

 THANK YOU to all the girls who graciously allowed me to photograph them.

Let Me Entertain YOU

I was going to save this post for Wednesday...but I rather give you the essentials at the beginning of the week.

These are a few of my favorite things on the net right now/ things every girl should now right now:

Are you trying to come up with the next big thing? Are you lacking a plan? Shannon from Those Girls Are Wild shares her insights.

Are you cluless like me when it comes to putting outfits together? The Seven Dollar Pants girls, have mastered sense of style that is both party and workplace friendly,  because Toronto Girls party as hard as they work. (or at least they should!)

Speaking of fashion...what do you think of padded panties? I've been playing with the thought but I am terrified that people would notice, although I have read rave reviews.

And hey, did you know that today is Quit Facebook Day? I dare you to try.

To second that, I encourage you to take advantage of this lovely weather. Yeah, yeah, we rave about it, but do we really spend time outside as much as we should?  So have an evening picnic, as suggested via Bright Young Thoughts.

A Million Bucks

Happy Friday! Congratulations on making it through the week in one piece, with your sanity intact.

You know one of my favorite things about my job? I get exclusive information on sample sales from our lovely neighbours. Sample sales are the answer for girls that love looking like a million bucks, but don't have a million bucks.
Anyways, the girls from Agency One hand delivered this flier today and thought I should share with you. These are great brands for ridiculous prices. I love spring sample sales!

Can Not Wait for Spring

I saw this dress at Anthropologie on Yorkville the other day and I haven't stopped thinking about it. For a price tag of $198 (not including taxes) I better start praying that it goes on sale soon. Or that I win the lottery.

Look at the cute "cockadoodle" embroidery. Its very quirky and cute. Very "Toronto".

I can see myself wearing this dress to stroll around Queen Street on a sunny Saturday afternoon, with a Fresh smoothie in hand and not a care in the world. *sighs*

What are your obsessions for spring?
